Kedward was tied to a truck and it pushed it to the forests, where abandoned it to death in the midst of a particularly hard winter. Giving by fact that Elly had died of cold, the people of Blair returned to an apparent calm. But this only calm was harbinger of other storms.
In November 1786, the first night that it snowed, the daughter of the magistrate of the city mysteriously disappeared. A week later, the main accuser of Kedward also disappeared. By the end of the winter, almost half of the children of the city disappeared without a trace, including all of the accusers.
